VANCOUVER, BC — January 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — VVT Med Inc., a developer of minimally invasive solutions for venous disease treatment, has announced that a procedure fee for ScleroSafe® treatments has been accepted in South Korea, marking progress toward commercial market penetration.
The acceptance of a procedure fee in South Korea is a crucial step that typically follows regulatory approval, reflecting clinical validation and professional consensus. It allows approved procedures to be performed within the national healthcare system under an established procedural framework.
This achievement follows a structured market-entry process in South Korea that began in 2022 when VVT Med executed a distribution agreement, establishing a local commercial framework. In 2024, ScleroSafe received regulatory approval from the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), enabling its clinical use in the country. The Korean Phlebology Society issued a supportive opinion letter in 2025, highlighting ScleroSafe’s clinical and economic value. Subsequently, in December 2025, the procedure fee was accepted, allowing physicians to integrate the treatment into routine clinical practice.
Supporting these milestones is a distribution agreement in South Korea valued at approximately CAD 2.6 million.
Erez Tetro, CEO of VVT Med, stated that with the distribution framework in place since 2022, MFDS approval in 2024, and now the acceptance of a procedure fee, the key building blocks for meaningful market entry have been completed. He added that South Korea is a sophisticated medical market, and this milestone positions ScleroSafe for scalable clinical adoption.
ScleroSafe is positioned for structured market penetration in South Korea starting in 2026, supported by physician education initiatives, local distribution capabilities, and growing clinical awareness of non-thermal, minimally invasive venous treatments.
