Vizsla Copper (TSXV:VCU) to Launch Aggressive Drill Program at Poplar Project

VANCOUVER, BC — January 14, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Vizsla Copper Corp. is set to begin an aggressive drill program at the Poplar Project in central British Columbia. The program will include up to 8,000 meters of drilling to investigate the Thira porphyry copper-molybdenum discovery and evaluate new targets along the 8-kilometer Thira alteration corridor.

The drill program, consisting of approximately 16 drill holes, aims to build on the 2025 results, including the discovery of the Thira porphyry copper-molybdenum zone, which yielded 237.3 meters of 0.51% CuEq (0.36% Cu, 0.02% Mo, 1.19 g/t Ag, and 0.06 g/t Au) from 117.7 meters downhole in TH25-145.

One drill rig will focus on the extent, structural controls, and lithological controls of the copper-molybdenum mineralization at the Thira discovery. Another rig will assess two recently defined targets along the Thira alteration corridor, seeking other porphyry systems.

Drilling is scheduled to commence in the first week of February, following the mobilization of the two drill rigs in the coming weeks.

According to Craig Parry, Chairman and CEO, Vizsla Copper anticipates an exciting year due to a strong treasury, promising targets, and rising copper prices. He noted that the Thira discovery expansion is the initial focus of the company’s year-round exploration plans for 2026, with consistent news flow expected as the winter drill season in British Columbia transitions to the summer drill program at Palmer.

Steve Blower, VP, Exploration, said the company is excited to start 2026 with a winter drill program at the Thira discovery. He added that the planned drill program will extend known copper-molybdenum mineralization at Thira and evaluate new targets refined with ground geophysics and soil geochemistry.

The Phase 1 drill program will primarily focus on investigating the lateral and vertical extent of the porphyry-related copper-molybdenum mineralization at the Thira Discovery. Step-out holes in all directions are planned to determine the scale of the porphyry system, and drilling will also examine the structural and lithological controls on higher-grade copper mineralization within the Thira porphyry system.

Additionally, the program will test for porphyry-related copper-molybdenum mineralization at the Copper Pond and Camp Lake targets, identified through inverted chargeability and resistivity models derived from 2024 and 2025 DCIP data. These targets, which have not been systematically drill tested, exhibit similar chargeability patterns to the Thira discovery, with a center of chalcopyrite-molybdenite bearing potassic alteration surrounded by a zone of highly-chargeable, pyrite-bearing phyllic alteration.

Vizsla Copper also announced it has replaced its stock option plan with an omnibus equity incentive compensation plan (the “Omnibus Plan”). The Omnibus Plan will consist of a 10% rolling stock option plan and an 8% fixed other equity plan. The fixed amount in additional equity that includes performance share units, deferred share units and restricted share units is set to a maximum issuable of 7,071,203.

Pursuant to the Company’s Omnibus Plan, it has granted 4,785,000 stock options at an exercise price of $1.81 and 6,129,000 restricted share units to directors, officers, employees and consultants of the Company. The Options are exercisable for a period of five years and will vest over the next two years and the RSUs will vest in three equal annual instalments commencing on the first anniversary of the grant date.

Vizsla Copper has entered into a marketing services agreement with Capitaliz for digital marketing and investor awareness services for three months. The company has allocated a total marketing budget of $400,000 CAD for the three-month term.

Vizsla Copper is a Cu-Au-Mo focused mineral exploration and development company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. The Company is primarily focused on its Palmer VMS project in Southeast Alaska, and its Poplar and Woodjam porphyry-related projects in Central and Southern British Columbia.
