Toronto, Ontario — January 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Sparq Systems Inc. CEO Dr. Praveen Jain has been named an Officer of the Order of Canada, the nation’s highest civilian honor, the company announced.
The Governor General of Canada bestowed the honor. According to the citation for Dr. Jain’s appointment, he is a leading inventor in electrical energy processing. His work has advanced efficient power generation, transmission, and use through electronics. The citation also notes that he has shaped the field while mentoring more than 100 trainees, earning recognition as an outstanding educator and innovator.
Ravi Sood, Chairman of the Company, offered congratulations on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Sparq family for the well-deserved tribute.
Dr. Jain said receiving the recognition from the Governor General of Canada was the greatest honor for him.
