VANCOUVER, British Columbia — January 6, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Sorrento Resources Ltd. has appointed Dr. Phillip Hellman as Technical Advisor, the Canadian exploration company announced today.
Dr. Hellman, a professional geologist with over 40 years of experience, is an Associate of Behre Dolbear Australia and H&S Consultants Pty Ltd. He previously served as Managing Director of Hellman and Schofield Pty Ltd.
His work includes rare earth projects in Australia, Africa, Asia, Brazil, East Timor, India, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Malawi, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. He has also authored papers on rare earth deposits and presented to the EURARE.
Dr. Hellman’s postgraduate studies at Macquarie University and University of Cambridge (UK) focused on experimental petrology and geochemistry. His research, published in journals like Nature and Earth and Planetary Science Letters, documented the mobility of REE in geological environments.
Alex Bugden, Director and Qualified Person of Sorrento Resources Ltd., stated that Dr. Hellman’s knowledge in academia and industry, specifically in Rare Earth Elements, would position the company to progress the Bottom Brook REE project.
