The company, a Canadian licensed producer focused on premium cannabis products, anticipates Cascadia will increase its production capacity by an estimated 40%, allowing it to meet more domestic demand and increase branded international sales.
According to Rubicon Organics, the facility is now fully planted, and its estimated production capacity is 4,500 kg of premium cannabis annually.
Margaret Brodie, Chief Executive Officer, stated that the first harvest at Cascadia is a significant operational milestone and demonstrates consistent execution. She added that with the facility fully planted, Rubicon’s premium capacity has expanded by 40%, positioning the company to meet strong demand for its premium cannabis in Canada and international medical markets.
Since acquiring the facility in June 2025, Rubicon Organics has prepared the site for commercial production through capital investments, securing licenses, commissioning the facility, and onboarding over 30 operations team members. Capital expenditures at Cascadia included modifications to the facility layout and installation of new grow tables, both of which are expected to improve efficiency and increase annual production capacity. Initial harvests from Cascadia are expected to be monetized in Q2, with production quality projected to reach flagship‑brand standards by mid‑2026.
Rubicon Organics held a grand opening event at Cascadia today, February 19th, bringing together employees and partners from government and industry who supported the project.
