Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE:QIMC) Launches Large-Scale Seismic Programs for Natural Hydrogen Projects

Montreal, Quebec — September 8, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC) (OTCQB: QIMCF) (FSE: 7FJ) announced today the commencement of two district-scale, non-invasive 2D seismic programs, totaling approximately 78 line-kilometres. These surveys aim to advance the company’s natural hydrogen projects in Quebec and Nova Scotia, representing the largest geophysical campaign undertaken by QIMC to date and a critical next step in its pilot-scale characterization and production pathway.

The seismic programs utilize Vibroseis technology, a road-based method that requires no shot-hole drilling, explosives, hydraulic fracturing, or reservoir stimulation. In Quebec, an approximately 36 line-kilometre 2D Vibroseis survey will be conducted at the Témiscamingue clean natural hydrogen project. This program will be monitored by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE) and carried out in partnership with the Témiscamingue First Nation (TFN). The survey is designed to map structures associated with identified hydrogen anomalies, further refining the district-scale geological model developed with INRS under QIMC’s proprietary R2G2™ exploration framework. It will provide the structural definition necessary to identify priority locations for subsequent drilling, pressure testing, flow testing, and accumulation characterization.

In Nova Scotia, an approximately 42 line-kilometre 2D Vibroseis survey will be conducted across QIMC’s natural hydrogen district. This program will integrate data from the company’s five-hole 2026 drilling campaign, approximately 6,000 soil-gas samples, ground magnetics, and geological mapping to delineate the subsurface architecture within an approximately 43-kilometre exploration corridor. QIMC has reported percent-level hydrogen concentrations at two drilling centers approximately 15 kilometres apart in Nova Scotia, including a record preliminary mud-gas reading of 30.0% H₂ in DDH-26-05 at Bennett Hill. The seismic survey aims to map the relationship between these drilling results, extensive surface anomalies, and the broader geological system, identifying priority areas for the pilot production pathway. QIMC has secured private land authorization for this non-invasive program in Nova Scotia and expressed gratitude to the Nova Scotia government and the community for their support.

John Karagiannidis, President and Chief Executive Officer of QIMC, highlighted the significance of these programs. “Together, the two programs represent the largest geophysical campaign undertaken by QIMC to date and a key next technical step in the Company’s previously announced pilot-scale characterization and production pathway,” Karagiannidis stated. He added, “This 36-kilometre seismic program is the natural next step in defining the structures that control the hydrogen system we have identified there [in Témiscamingue].” He further noted that the “combined 78-kilometre 2D seismic campaign represents an important transition for QIMC from discovery toward the next phase of our pilot production pathway.” The seismic data, once acquired, will undergo processing, interpretation, and integration with existing exploration databases, including drill logs, gas datasets, surface geochemistry results, ground magnetics, geological datasets, and the R2G2™ exploration framework.

The company also announced the grant of 4,200,000 stock options to certain directors, officers, employees, and consultants. Each option is exercisable to acquire one common share of the Company at $0.65 per share for a period of three years from the date of grant.

Québec Innovative Materials Corp. is a North American exploration and development company focused on natural hydrogen and critical-mineral projects in Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Minnesota, USA. The company utilizes its proprietary R2G2™ exploration framework to advance natural hydrogen opportunities for future clean-energy development.
