PolyML Receives Strategic Investment from Martinrea International (TSX:MRE)

January 15, 2026 — Leads & Copy — PolyML, a developer of advanced machine learning and data analytics, announced a strategic $1.5 million investment from Martinrea International Inc. (TSX:MRE), a global automotive supplier.

The investment provides Martinrea International with a minority equity interest in PolyML and reflects its assessment of PolyML’s technology and applicability in complex industrial environments. The total investment is expected to increase to $3.0 million over the next two years, subject to agreed conditions.

PolyML and Martinrea International have also entered into a multi-year services and collaboration agreement. This agreement covers the deployment of PolyML’s technology within automotive manufacturing operations, as well as the joint development of new solutions. These solutions are intended to support operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

Mardi Witzel, Chief Executive Officer of PolyML, said the investment and collaboration validate PolyML’s technology in real-world manufacturing environments. Witzel added that working with a global automotive organization allows PolyML to continue refining its platform while addressing problems where data is large, complex, and operationally critical.

PolyML’s technology uses first principles of scientific discovery to build its platform, rather than adapting generic or off-the-shelf machine learning approaches. Its proprietary Fiins AI platform is designed to extract interpretable, decision-ready insight from large, structured, and information-dense datasets. This is especially useful in settings where performance, reliability, and trust in analytical outputs are essential.

This approach allows organizations to identify early signals, understand drivers of outcomes, and act with greater confidence in complex operational systems.

Pat D’Eramo, Martinrea’s Chief Executive Officer, said Fiins AI is a key component of Martinrea’s machine learning initiative. D’Eramo noted that Martinrea’s Advanced Manufacturing Team is making progress in scaling this and other innovative technologies across its global network. The result has been a notable improvement in cost and efficiency in manufacturing operations where these solutions have been deployed.

According to D’Eramo, the partnership with PolyML has been central to these efforts, and Martinrea looks forward to continuing to grow this relationship.

The capital from the investment will support PolyML’s continued growth, including the expansion of its technical and delivery teams. PolyML plans to scale its capabilities to serve more regulated sectors, such as financial services and healthcare, where stakeholders and regulators place a premium not only on accuracy, but also on transparency, interpretability, and governance of advanced analytics.

Martinrea International will hold exclusivity with PolyML for automotive-specific solutions, while PolyML retains the ability to apply and extend its core technology across other industries.

PolyML is a Canadian technology company providing machine learning (AI/ML) solutions for complex, data-intensive environments. Its proprietary Fiins AI platform enables organizations to extract reliable, interpretable insights from large and heterogeneous data sets, supporting better decision-making across operations, risk, and performance-critical use cases. PolyML’s technology is broadly applicable across industries, with a current focus on manufacturing and financial services.

Martinrea International Inc. (TSX: MRE) is a leader in the development and production of quality metal parts, assemblies and modules, fluid management systems, and complex aluminum products focused primarily on the automotive sector.
