December 9, 2025 — Penguin Solutions, Inc. has launched its SMART 64GB DDR5-6400 ECC CSODIMM memory modules, adding to its DDR5 SODIMM lineup.
These modules are designed for high-performance computing in industrial, edge, telecom, and networking systems, and support both commercial and industrial temperature options for reliable operation in harsh environments. The CSODIMM form factor provides higher density and faster bandwidth with error correction capability (ECC) for next-generation platforms.
Arthur Sainio, director of Integrated Memory DRAM product marketing at Penguin Solutions, stated that the 64GB DDR5-6400 ECC CSODIMM strengthens SMART’s position in ruggedized, high-performance memory solutions, offering industrial and networking customers high-capacity and wide-temperature support in a compact DDR5 SODIMM design.
The CSODIMMs include a clock driver (CKD) that regenerates and amplifies the clock signal to maintain signal integrity, synchronicity timing, and reduce errors at high speeds.
The SMART’s DDR5 SODIMM family now includes capacities from 16GB to 64GB, with the addition of the 64GB capacity point, including capacities of 16GB, 32GB, and 48GB. This expansion allows system designers to select the appropriate memory density and performance profile.
Key features of the SMART 64GB DDR5-6400 ECC CSODIMM include:
- Capacity: 64GB (expanding DDR5 SODIMM portfolio from 16GB–64GB)
- Data rate: up to 6400 MT/s
- ECC support for improved reliability
