Nexus Uranium (CSE:NEXU) Expands South Dakota Uranium Holdings with RC Project Acquisition

Vancouver, British Columbia — January 19, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Nexus Uranium Corp. (CSE: NEXU) (OTCQB: NEXUF) (FSE: JA7) has acquired the RC uranium project in South Dakota, marking the Company’s second strategic staking in the Fall River County uranium district within two weeks.

The RC project, acquired via staking, is wholly owned and comes without underlying royalties.

The RC project includes 40 unpatented lode mining claims, totaling around 800 acres. It is located within a mile of the Company’s Chord uranium project in Fall River County, South Dakota. Nexus has added 57 claims totaling around 1,140 acres to its South Dakota land position in January 2026, including the recently announced Deadhorse acquisition (17 claims, ~340 acres). The company’s total South Dakota holdings are now approximately 6,380 acres.

CEO Jeremy Poirier stated that the RC staking extends the consolidation of lands adjacent to Chord, following last week’s Deadhorse acquisition. He added that the location of RC, with 40 claims and 800 acres situated less than one mile from the flagship project, demonstrates confidence in the district’s exploration upside. Poirier also stated the company intends to continue evaluating opportunities to expand its footprint in this historic uranium-producing region.

The RC claims are located in the Edgemont uranium district, within the Black Hills region. The region has a recorded history of uranium production from sandstone-hosted deposits in the Inyan Kara Group, totaling approximately 3.2 million pounds[1] of U3O8. The claims cover prospective ground in the same geological setting as the adjacent Chord project, where uranium mineralization is associated with Cretaceous-age sandstones and paleochannel systems within the Inyan Kara Group.

Nexus Uranium is a Canadian exploration company focused on uranium projects in North America. In the United States, the Company holds the Chord, Wolf Canyon, Deadhorse, and RC projects in South Dakota, and the South Pass project in Wyoming. The Great Divide Basin project in Wyoming is now under option to Canamera Energy Metals Corp. In Canada, Nexus holds the Mann Lake project in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.
