Vancouver, British Columbia — January 8, 2026 — Leads & Copy — NexMetals Mining Corp. (TSXV: NEXM) (NASDAQ: NEXM) has appointed Warwick Morley-Jepson to its board of directors, effective today.
Morley-Jepson will also serve as Co-Chair, alongside Philipa Varris, of the Board’s newly formed Safety, Sustainability and Technical Committee.
Morley-Jepson brings over 40 years of experience in the precious and base metal sectors to the company. He has held senior operational and project development roles, as well as executive positions within global mining companies.
His experience includes seven years at Kinross Gold Corporation, where he progressed from Regional Vice President to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was responsible for the company’s operations and project development activities globally.
Morley-Jepson also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Ivanhoe Mines. Since 2017, he has served on the boards of numerous mining companies, including seven years at Wesdome Gold Mines, where he was Chairman of the board of directors and Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Paul Martin, Chairman of the Board, stated that the company is pleased to welcome Warwick to the Board. He said that Morley-Jepson’s experience in project development and mine operations is especially well-timed as the company optimizes its path forward for its Selebi and Selkirk assets.
Martin added that Morley-Jepson’s leadership as Co-Chair of the Safety, Sustainability and Technical Committee will be critical in guiding the Board and management through key project decisions.
NexMetals Mining Corp. is focused on redeveloping the past-producing Selebi and Selkirk copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum group element mines in Botswana. The company has confirmed that the scale of mineralization is larger than historical estimates and is supported by NI 43-101-compliant resource estimates.
NexMetals is conducting down-hole geophysics, drilling, and metallurgical programs to expand resources and support future economic studies. The company is led by an experienced management and technical team.
