New Break Resources Ltd. (CSE: NBRK) has acquired four mineral claims totaling approximately 86 hectares in English and Zavitz Townships, completing its Moray property position. The acquisition agreement was made with two arm’s length individuals. The Moray property is located about 49 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario, and 32 km northeast of the Young-Davidson gold mine operated by Alamos Gold Inc.
The acquired mineral claims contain historical gold showings. Esso Minerals discovered the 43 North Showing in 1987, which yielded grab samples of up to 1.2 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au). Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. sampled the Doctor and Seska Trenches in 1996, yielding results up to 6.65 g/t Au and 1.2 g/t Au, respectively. The acquisition adds prospective gold exploration targets at Moray, beyond the Zavitz discovery zone.
Under the agreement, the Vendor will receive $16,000 in cash and 80,000 common shares of New Break in exchange for 100% ownership in the four mineral claims. The Consideration Shares are subject to a four-month statutory hold period following closing. The acquisition requires regulatory approvals, including approval from the Canadian Securities Exchange.
Following its 2025 drilling program, which led to the Zavitz gold zone discovery, New Break applied for a new exploration permit. The permit would expand the number of permitted drill pads, based on the Zavitz zone gold discovery and exploration work. On February 10, 2026, New Break received Exploration Permit PR-26-000004, which expires on February 9, 2029.
In late January 2026, New Break resumed Moray drilling, including mobilization by Enviro North Exploration Inc. and site preparation. The Company drilled two holes, totaling 569 metres, in a target area approximately three km southeast of the Zavitz zone. On February 17, 2026, New Break started drilling in the Zavitz discovery zone and has completed the first two drillholes of a planned 2,000 to 2,500 metres in this first phase of 2026 drilling. Visible gold was encountered at 100.3 metres in drillhole NBR-26-04.
Assays are expected to take several weeks, and this phase of drilling is expected to last until the end of March.
