Toronto, Ontario — September 4, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Mogotes Metals Inc. (TSXV: MOG) (FSE: OY4) (OTCQB: MOGMF) has reported the final results from its 2025–2026 field season at the Filo Sur project, located in the Vicuña district spanning Argentina and Chile. The company also released new drill and channel-sample results from the Luz del Sol and Cuenca targets, and announced plans for a 20,000-metre drill program for the 2026–2027 season.
Key highlights from the season include the discovery of two new zones on the Macho Muerto Fault Zone (MMFZ): the high-grade Albor breccia, which yielded 180 metres grading 0.98% CuEq, including 58 metres at 1.77% CuEq in drill hole FS_DDH_016; and the Cruz del Sur gold-copper porphyry, which returned 308 metres at 0.46% CuEq and 334 metres at 0.45% CuEq in drill hole FS_DDH_006.
Additionally, the Cuenca porphyry target has expanded to 1.3 km by 0.5 km. Road-cut channel sampling at Cuenca returned 153 metres averaging 0.31 g/t Au and 0.11% Cu from four segments covering a total linear distance of 297 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 54 metres grading 0.46 g/t Au and 0.14% Cu. Drilling at Luz del Sol has identified a new porphyry drill target, where drill holes FS_DDH_013 and FS_DDH_015 encountered leached, high-level breccias with anomalous copper situated above a strong induced polarization (IP) chargeability anomaly. These targets are slated for drilling in the 2026–2027 season.
The company plans to more than triple its drilling efforts, with up to 20,000 metres planned for 2026–2027. This expanded program aims to extend the known mineralization at Albor and Cruz del Sur, and to conduct the first porphyry tests at the Luz del Sol-Cuenca and Meseta targets.
At Luz del Sol, drilling has defined a new porphyry drill target east of FS_DDH_015. Holes FS_DDH_013 and FS_DDH_015 intersected anomalous copper within porphyry dikes and hydrothermal breccias in the MMFZ. FS_DDH_013 returned 18 metres at 0.21% Cu from 216 metres, while FS_DDH_015 yielded 24 metres at 0.16% Cu from 179 metres and 20.5 metres at 0.15% Cu from 218.5 metres. While these grades are not economic, they are considered indicative of the flanks of a porphyry system. The alteration observed at Luz del Sol is situated higher in the system compared to the potassic alteration hosting the Albor breccia. A strong IP chargeability high, detected beneath the oxidized breccias in FS_DDH_015, defines the new target, which is suggested to be sourced from a deeper porphyry system that may approach the surface east of the MMFZ.
The Cuenca porphyry target has been expanded to approximately 1.3 km by 0.5 km through new channel sampling. This target, believed to be along a branch of the MMFZ, exhibits multiple coincident anomalies including geophysical signatures, diorite porphyry dikes, phreatic breccia dikes, and argillic to vuggy-silica altered structures. Rock-chip geochemistry shows anomalous gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, and other elements. The principal road cut, Road Cut 1, yielded 153 metres averaging 0.31 g/t Au and 0.11% Cu. Additional road cuts, Road Cut 2 and Road Cut 3, returned 123.4 metres at 0.32 g/t Au and 0.05% Cu, and 61.7 metres at 0.19 g/t Au and 0.04% Cu, respectively. Further trenching and channel sampling are planned for 2026-2027 to delineate the gold-copper anomaly.
The Meseta target remains untested. Drilling in the previous season was deferred due to challenging ground conditions. Mogotes plans to test for deeper high-sulphidation and porphyry mineralization at Meseta in 2026–2027.
During the 2025–2026 season, Mogotes Metals Inc. completed 6,208 metres of drilling at Filo Sur. Both the Albor breccia and the Cruz del Sur gold-copper porphyry discoveries are situated on the MMFZ. Albor is characterized by a high-grade intercept of 180 metres of strongly mineralized magmatic-hydrothermal breccia from 108 metres depth in FS_DDH_016. Cruz del Sur, discovered in FS_DDH_006, is a large gold-copper porphyry system with mineralization remaining open in all directions. FS_DDH_007 intersected a near-surface gold-zinc breccia and a deeper gold-copper porphyry intercept.
The planned 20,000-metre drill program for 2026–2027 will focus on extending mineralization at Albor and Cruz del Sur, conducting the first porphyry tests at Luz del Sol-Cuenca, testing Meseta, and undertaking reconnaissance drilling along the MMFZ. Exploration efforts will also advance targets beyond the MMFZ, including Colorida-Frontera, Filo Este, and Rincon.
Allen Sabet, President and CEO of Mogotes Metals Inc., expressed gratitude to the team and stakeholders, highlighting an exciting target set, a technical alliance with Rio Tinto, a strong balance sheet, and a clear plan for drilling at Filo Sur. Carl Schnell, Head of Geology, noted the significance of the two discoveries and the emerging porphyry targets, emphasizing the MMFZ as a key structural control on mineralization and a focus for the upcoming drill program.
