Toronto, Ontario — September 3, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Metal Energy Corp. has mobilized a second diamond drill rig to its NIV copper-gold project in British Columbia’s Toodoggone District, effectively doubling its drilling capacity for the remainder of the 2026 season. The addition of the second rig is expected to accelerate follow-up drilling on the program’s most promising holes and targets, and to more thoroughly test the 5-kilometer strike length of the NIV system.
The company has already completed six holes, totaling approximately 4,200 meters, towards its planned 6,000-meter program. The drilling is proceeding on schedule, and the enhanced capacity allows Metal Energy to maximize the meters drilled during the remaining approximately four weeks of the season.
Charlie Greig, CEO of Metal Energy, stated, “The second rig lets us follow up on our best holes, more fully test the impressive 5 km length of the NIV system, and put as many metres into the ground as possible this season. It will also allow for a more thorough drill test and set Metal Energy up well for an expanded program at NIV in 2027.” Assay results from the drilling will be released as they are received, reviewed, compiled, and interpreted.

Metal Energy Corp. is a critical metals exploration company focused on copper and gold assets in Canada. The NIV project, located in British Columbia’s Toodoggone District, is a fully permitted and drill-ready copper-gold-molybdenum project. This 2026 program is the first-ever drill campaign at NIV, which is situated in a region known for significant porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold-silver deposits. The project hosts extensive and coincident soil geochemical, Induced Polarization (IP), and airborne magnetic anomalies. Metal Energy’s Highland Valley Project is another permitted, drill-ready asset.
The Company is supported by two major mining companies, each holding a 9.9% strategic investment. This backing provides Metal Energy with a treasury exceeding $9 million, fully funding its 2026 exploration programs. The NIV project spans over 12,500 hectares across two claim blocks, NIV and West NIV, located approximately 32 km south of Centerra Gold’s Kemess mine complex. The geological setting at NIV is similar to that hosting the Kemess copper-gold porphyry deposits and Amarc Resources’ Aurora discovery to the north, as well as Pacific Ridge’s Kliyul and RDP projects to the south. Modern geochemical and geophysical techniques have been applied sporadically to the NIV property since 2010, with neither the NIV nor the West NIV block having been previously drill-tested.
Metal Energy’s portfolio also includes the Highland Valley Project (Cu-Mo-Ag-Au-Re, 100% owned) in British Columbia and the Manibridge Project (Ni-Cu-Co-PGE, 85% owned) in Manitoba.
