iA Financial Group has announced a $500,000 donation to Food Banks Canada. The donation will support local food banks in assisting individuals and families in need.
iA Financial Group has been a supporter of Food Banks Canada since 2021. The Canada-wide charity works to maximize the efforts of over 5,500 food banks and community organizations.
According to Food Banks Canada’s 2025 HungerCount report, food banks recorded 2.2 million visits in a single month this year. That number is double what it was six years ago. Currently, one in four people in Canada lacks consistent access to enough food.
Denis Ricard, President and CEO of iA Financial Group, stated that the company’s commitment to supporting local food banks is more important than ever, as many Canadians struggle with food insecurity. He added that iA Financial Group is proud to partner with Food Banks Canada to assist the most vulnerable people, working together to build a more united and sustainable future.
Kirstin Beardsley, Chief Executive Officer of Food Banks Canada, expressed deep gratitude for iA Financial Group’s continued generosity and commitment to their vision of a Canada without hunger. Beardsley noted the donation will support people in Canada who need it the most and support their mission of relieving hunger today and preventing hunger tomorrow, especially as the holiday season approaches.
In 2025, iA Financial Group donated $11.4 million to approximately 600 organizations working in education, social services, the environment, and health care in Canada. In addition, iA raised over $3.2 million for the annual United Way campaign.
