Toronto, Ontario — February 26, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Hispania Resources Inc. (TSXV: ESPN) reports that its team recently visited Lumbrales, Spain, and met with city officials, including Mayor Carlos Pedraz, to discuss the Mari Tere mine project.

Mayor Pedraz was briefed on Hispania’s work and plans for the past-producing Mari Tere mine. Discussions also covered the project’s upcoming phases.
The project team outlined their intended program under the current permit, proposed drill locations, and relevant documents to Mayor Pedraz. The mayor expressed his full support for the project.
Mayor Pedraz noted the project’s potential to bring both direct and indirect jobs to the area and acknowledged the company’s commitment to environmental, societal, and governmental practices.
The mayor informed Hispania that the municipality is planning work that would make it an opportune time to pursue any necessary reclassifications. He added that the Mari Tere mine area is already designated as “strategic mining” land and that reclassification to industrial would be a simple process. The municipality anticipates no issues in implementing the reclassification and obtaining water for drilling operations from the deposit.
Hispania CEO Norman Brewster expressed satisfaction with the meetings in Lumbrales and with Mayor Pedraz’s team. He emphasized the importance of supportive government and community relations for a mine’s success. He also stated it is a good time for tin and Lumbrales. Brewster also acknowledged Mayor Pedraz’s helpfulness and the work of his team. He stated that he is anticipating the upcoming work at the site and advancing the Mari Tere mine.
Hispania is currently focused on developing three core assets in Spain, including the Otero copper-zinc project, the Lumbrales tin project, and the Puebla de la Reina copper-zinc project. Hispania’s management team brings over 120 years of mineral exploration and production experience across multiple jurisdictions.
The team was involved in founding and building Iberian Minerals, supported by local and regional governments and infrastructure.
