February 24, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Generation Mining Limited (TSX: GENM) has appointed Rachel Pineault as Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs and Human Resources, and Erich Meintjes as Vice President Engineering. The appointments are intended to support the development, construction, and future operation of the company’s Marathon Copper-Palladium Project in Northwestern Ontario.
Jamie Levy, President and CEO of Generation Mining, expressed his pleasure in welcoming Pineault and Meintjes to the management team, emphasizing that their experience will be invaluable as the Marathon Copper-Palladium project advances.
Pineault is a mining executive with over 30 years of experience in human resources, corporate governance, sustainability, and large-scale project development. She has been involved in the construction, commissioning, operation, and reopening of multiple mining operations, creating organizational frameworks based on governance and employee value proposition.
Her expertise includes strategic workforce planning, total rewards design, and governance systems, along with building partnerships with Indigenous Nations and host communities through economic participation, workforce development, and community investment.
Meintjes brings over 27 years of engineering leadership experience within the global mining sector. He joined DRA Global in 2002 and progressed through senior roles, including Senior Project Manager and Senior Vice President, Engineering (EMEA).
Meintjes has led projects across multiple commodities and jurisdictions, with expertise spanning the full project lifecycle, including execution strategy, engineering design, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and operational handover of mining and mineral processing facilities.
Throughout his career, Meintjes has optimized resource allocation, strengthened technical governance, and ensured the delivery of operational mandates and long-term strategic objectives.
The Marathon Copper-Palladium Project is described as one of the largest undeveloped copper-palladium resources in North America and is expected to be a source of copper, palladium and other critical metals for electrification and decarbonization. The Marathon Property covers approximately 36,398 hectares (364km2).
The Feasibility Study, with an effective date of November 1, 2024, estimated a Net Present Value (using a 6% discount rate) of C$1.07 billion, an Internal Rate of Return of 28%, and a 1.9-year payback based on the 3-yr trailing average metal prices at the effective date of the Technical Report. Over the anticipated 13-year mine life, the Marathon Project is expected to produce approximately: 2,161,000 ounces of palladium, 532 million lbs. of copper, 488,000 ounces of platinum, 160,000 ounces of gold and 3,051,000 ounces of silver in payable metals.
