SODANKYLÄ, FINLAND — January 12, 2026 — Leads & Copy — FireFox Gold Corp. is focusing on new drill targets at its Mustajärvi Gold Project in Lapland, Finland, after discovering new gold anomalies in base-of-till (BoT) sampling and geophysics.
These anomalies correlate with structural settings, with one BoT sample returning over 100 g/t gold in an undrilled area near a structural intersection two kilometers southwest of any prior drilling.
The company plans to drill this area and the new geophysical anomalies as part of its ongoing Mustajärvi drill program. In addition, the Finnish mining authority, Tukes, has granted Firefox Gold an exploration reservation area called “Vuoma,” covering 4.32 km2 contiguous with the main Mustajärvi exploration permits.
The exploration reservation grants the exclusive right to apply for an exploration permit within the designated area and is valid for two years.
Carl Löfberg, FireFox’s CEO, stated that the new targets indicate the potential large scale of the system. He noted that the high gold BoT sample at Mustajärvi West is one of the highest-grade surface samples seen, comparable to those found in the East Zone discovery.
Löfberg added that the proximity of high gold in till sampling to a major interpreted structural intersection makes this target particularly exciting and that the company will be testing this new target in the current phase of drilling. He also noted the company’s excitement to drill test the latest geophysical anomalies, which are well to the east of any previous drilling, after confirming the efficacy of their approach to electrical geophysics with recent high-grade drill intercepts.
FireFox initiated a BoT sampling campaign at the Mustajärvi Project in late autumn of 2025 and collected 437 samples by the end of the year, with 251 assays received.
Results include a cluster of elevated gold values near the interpreted junction of the Venejoki and Mustajärvi shear zones, with one sample returning an assay of >100 g/t gold along with highly anomalous bismuth (50.1 ppm) and tellurium (30.7 ppm). This gold, bismuth, and tellurium association is consistent with mineralization in the known gold zones on the property.
In 2025, FireFox used fixed-loop electromagnetic (FLEM) surveys to identify gold in conductive horizons at the Mustajärvi East Zone. The company then initiated new FLEM surveys on targets about 900 to 2,000 meters east of the East Zone, contracting Magnus Minerals to conduct the surveys, which included five loops and 564 stations.
The latest survey results indicate two anomalies recommended for drill testing. One anomaly is located approximately 700 meters southeast of the East Zone and is consistent with the typical signature seen for shallow pyrite mineralization elsewhere on the project. The other, located more than a kilometer away to the east, is coincident with magnetite destruction.
The team also conducted ground magnetics (GMAG) and very low frequency electromagnetic (VLF) measurements together, focusing on the Triangle Target. The combined GMAG-VLF survey successfully outlined the structure and highlighted zones of potentially mineralized, low‑resistivity material.
Magnus Minerals and Geovisor Oy contributed to the geophysical work, with Magnus Minerals providing interpretation of the geophysical results.
BoT samples were transported to the ALS sample prep lab in Outokumpu, where they were dried (60° C), screened to -180 µm, and analyzed by the AuME-TL43 method.
