FinEx Metals Ltd. (TSX-V:FINX) Completes Diamond Drilling and Sampling Program at Kero Gold Project in Finland

September 3, 2026 — Leads & Copy — FinEx Metals Ltd. has completed a diamond drill program and a Top-of-Bedrock and Bottom-of-Till (ToB/BoT) sampling campaign at its Kero gold project in northern Finland. The Kero project is 100%-owned and royalty-free, situated approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä gold mine, which is Europe’s largest primary gold mine. It is also located 20 kilometres northwest of the multi-million-ounce Ikkari gold deposit, now owned by Agnico Eagle following its acquisition of Rupert Resources Ltd.

The drilling program involved a total of 2,001 metres of diamond core drilling across 10 holes at Target A and Target C. Drill core is currently undergoing logging, and samples are being sent to ALS Laboratories for analysis. The ToB/BoT sampling campaign collected 694 bedrock and soil samples across three priority targets in the northern part of the Kero licence area, with the aim of defining new drill targets.

Kero is strategically positioned within the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, an area considered one of Europe’s most significant gold districts, lying between the Kittilä mine and the Ikkari deposit, both major gold systems.

Tero Kosonen, Chairman and CEO of FinEx, stated that the completion of the Phase I program at Kero, comprising 2,001 metres of diamond drilling and 694 bedrock and till samples, strengthens the company’s presence in a highly prospective gold district and sets the stage for future exploration. He commended the Finnish field team and service providers for their professional and technically expert work, which ensured the program was completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The diamond drilling focused on two priority targets, A and C. Target A saw six drill holes totalling 1,114 metres, with depths ranging from 120 to 251 metres. These holes were designed to follow up on and expand historical gold mineralization identified by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK). Historical GTK results from this area include trenching that yielded 6.2 metres grading 7.5 g/t Au, and drill hole M372105R402, which returned 9.05 metres grading 1.95 g/t Au from 142.5 metres, including 1.05 metres grading 12.6 g/t Au.

Target C, located about 1,000 metres south of Target A, is characterized by a significant structural break interpreted from geophysical data. FinEx tested this target with four drill holes, KER26D005, 006, and 007, which encountered deeply weathered, sheared, and hydrothermally altered bedrock. Drill hole KER26D008 explored the same structural trend from a different angle. A total of 887 metres of diamond drilling was completed at Target C.

The bedrock and till sampling program involved collecting 694 samples. Given that the Kero project area is predominantly covered by 2 to 5 metres of glacial till, with depths reaching up to 13 metres in places, a shallow drilling approach was used to reach the bedrock and till interface. Samples were collected at 30-metre intervals along 150-metre spaced lines. Bedrock samples provide direct lithological information, while till samples offer insights into broader geochemical anomalies of gold and associated pathfinder elements.

The Kero project is situated in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, in the same region as Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä mine and the Ikkari deposit. An exploration license for Kero was granted in February 2026. FinEx Metals Ltd. focuses on gold, nickel, and PGE exploration, with a portfolio of 100%-owned, royalty-free projects in northern Finland. The company’s projects benefit from proximity to existing mining operations, robust infrastructure, a stable regulatory environment, and a proven exploration model.
