EverGen (TSXV:EVGN) Announces Activation of 20-Year Biomethane Purchase Agreement with FortisBC

VANCOUVER, BC — January 16, 2026 — Leads & Copy —

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. has announced that the 20-year Biomethane Purchase Agreement (BPA) between its subsidiary, Fraser Valley Biogas Ltd. (FVB), and FortisBC Energy Inc. is now in effect. Under the agreement, FortisBC will purchase Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) produced at the FVB facility.

The BPA allows FortisBC to include RNG in its natural gas system. The addition of RNG reduces the need for conventional natural gas, lowering fossil fuel use and overall greenhouse gas emissions. The agreement supports FortisBC’s renewable and lower carbon gas supply and provides EverGen with a long-term revenue stream. FortisBC collaborates with farms, landfills, energy companies, and municipalities in British Columbia and other locations.

Chase Edgelow, Co-founder and CEO of EverGen, expressed gratitude for FortisBC’s continued support. He stated that the agreement highlights the strength of their relationship with FortisBC and the stability of EverGen’s RNG platform.

Nick Bloomfield, director of renewable gas and low carbon fuels at FortisBC, said that the agreement reinforces their commitment to securing locally produced RNG. It also supports the growth of a lower carbon, more resilient energy system, aligning with British Columbia’s climate action goals.

FVB, a subsidiary of EverGen, is recognized as the original producing RNG project in Western Canada and the first to inject RNG into FortisBC’s network. The facility uses anaerobic digestion and biogas upgrading to produce RNG, converting agricultural waste from local dairy farms. FVB also produces an organic liquid fertilizer used by surrounding farms to displace synthetic fertilizers. This fertilizer has been part of local farms’ nutrient management planning for over a decade.

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. is focused on combating climate change and supporting communities in building a sustainable future. Headquartered on the West Coast of Canada, EverGen acquires, develops, builds, owns, and operates a portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas, waste to energy, and related infrastructure projects. The company is focused on growth across North America and beyond.
