Errington Metals Corp. (TSXV:EM) Announces Positive Initial 2026 Drill Results Confirming High-Grade Mineralization and Expansion Potential at Errington Zone

THUNDER BAY, ON — September 3, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Errington Metals Corp. announced initial 2026 drilling results from its Errington Zone exploration program, confirming multiple high-grade copper-zinc-lead-gold-silver intercepts and demonstrating the potential for significant expansion at depth. The results indicate that the Errington Zone remains open for further growth. Notable intercepts include 11.0 metres grading 1.75% copper, 8.63% zinc, 2.05% lead, 1.66 grams per tonne gold, and 104.5 grams per tonne silver, equating to a 6.41% copper equivalent (CuEq).

The drilling program has also provided new insights into the geological model of the mineralization. Instead of being constrained by folding, the mineralization may be faulted and offset down-dip, presenting additional exploration opportunities. Elevated gold and silver values in the eastern part of the zone are enhancing the potential value per tonne of the deposit.

Other key highlights from the initial drilling include 19.3 metres grading 2.68% CuEq in hole EME-26-089, 12.3 metres grading 3.49% CuEq in hole EME-26-100, and 8.90 metres grading 4.83% CuEq in hole EME-26-083. True widths are estimated to be 70% to 100% of the reported drilling widths.

Matthew Gollat, President and CEO of Errington Metals, expressed enthusiasm for the results, stating, “These initial results from the 2026 drill program are an exciting step forward for Errington. We continue to intersect strong polymetallic mineralization at depth, including meaningful precious metals values that can enhance the overall value of this opportunity. Just as important, the drilling is improving our understanding of the structures that control mineralization and is opening up new areas to follow the system down-dip.”

The 2026 program was designed to test the depth extensions of the Errington mineralized zone along its full strike extent. Drilling at Errington Main focused on testing extensions within major fault blocks, particularly in the eastern portion of the Main and Christie Blocks. These results reinforce observations from 2025 drilling, which also showed elevated gold associated with massive sulphide mineralization in the eastern area, suggesting the system persists at depth with grades comparable to upper portions of the deposit.

All holes drilled encountered mineralization within the Vermilion chert-carbonate breccia horizon or as stringer sulphides in the footwall volcanic rocks. Borehole electromagnetic surveys are currently underway to identify conductive sulphide targets, which will aid in guiding future deeper drilling phases. This geophysical work is expected to be an important tool for testing deeper extensions of the system.

Previously, mineralized horizons were interpreted to be folded at depth, suggesting the system might be constrained. However, recent drilling supports an alternative interpretation where mineralization is likely faulted and offset down-dip, indicating that the Errington Zone remains open at depth with clear potential for continued expansion.

Errington Metals Corp. is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on critical and precious metals. The Company is advancing its wholly owned Sudbury Basin Project, which hosts high-grade volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS)-style mineralization in the Sudbury mining district. Errington Metals is undertaking a 45,000-metre drill program aimed at supporting an initial mineral resource estimate and testing regional targets.
