VANCOUVER, BC, September 4, 2026 — Leads & Copy — East Side Games Group Inc. today announced a series of cost reduction and operational restructuring initiatives aimed at strengthening its financial standing and positioning the company for sustainable, profitable operations. The measures include a significant workforce reduction and a reprioritization of its game development portfolio.
The Company has reduced its workforce by approximately 30 employees, which accounts for about 32% of its total headcount. These reductions, effective September 1st, were implemented through a combination of layoffs and furloughs. East Side Games stated that this streamlined workforce will enable more efficient operations, aligning with a renewed focus on profitability.
These workforce reductions, coupled with other operational efficiencies, are projected to generate approximately $3.5 million in annualized cost savings. The majority of these savings are anticipated to be realized starting in the fourth quarter of 2026. This initiative is in addition to the $4 million in annualized cost savings that were implemented earlier in the year.
In addition to personnel changes, East Side Games is rationalizing its development portfolio. This involves pausing or scaling back certain titles and projects to allow the Company to concentrate its resources on its highest-performing live games and those with the greatest potential.
The Company is also restructuring payment terms with some of its development and publishing partners. These adjustments are intended to better align cash outlays with project performance and overall cash flow generation.
