Vancouver, British Columbia — February 26, 2026 — Leads & Copy — The Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico (SEMARNAT) has approved Defiance Silver Corp.’s Informe Preventivo for the Victoria target at its Green Earth Project in Sonora, Mexico.
Defiance Silver Corp. (TSXV: DEF) (FSE: D4E) (WKN: A1JQW5) announced the environmental authorization is required to conduct exploration drilling.
The Informe Preventivo was prepared in accordance with Mexican environmental regulations, and the approval authorizes a drilling permit valid for 36 months. It includes permission for up to 89 drill pads and the construction of new access roads, subject to compliance with environmental terms.
Chris Wright, Executive Chairman & CEO of Defiance Silver, said the Victoria copper project represents an opportunity to drill a large-scale copper-molybdenum target with surface mineralization, hydrothermal alteration, and prospective geophysics. The updated drill permit allows Defiance to move forward at the Victoria project.
