CGI and Schneider Electric are expanding their partnership to provide sustainable end-to-end solutions for energy suppliers in the DACH region.
The collaboration combines CGI’s IT and business consulting services with Schneider Electric’s network and control system solutions, addressing the challenges and opportunities arising from the transition to renewable energy, the digitization of networks, and increasing regulatory complexity.
The partnership extends the existing collaboration between CGI and Schneider Electric to German-speaking countries. Schneider Electric will provide solutions for grid operations and planning, including Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). CGI will offer its energy sector expertise, software implementation and system integration, and managed services.
The companies believe AI will play a critical role in future transformation projects, creating value through process optimization, cost efficiencies, and improved sustainability.
According to Stefan Becker, President of Germany operations, CGI, the partnership creates an innovative offering for the German-speaking energy market that combines technological excellence with industry knowledge. He said the end-to-end solutions will help energy companies navigate the dynamic changes associated with strict regulations.
Caroline Pim, Vice-President Power Systems DACH Region at Schneider Electric, said the partnership with CGI in the DACH region will translate solutions into measurable client value, underscoring the shared goal of supporting energy suppliers in the secure, efficient, and sustainable transformation of their networks.
CGI and Schneider Electric also collaborate in the Digitopia Business Hub of Eurelectric, the European electricity industry association, where digital experts share experiences and discuss challenges. AI will be a key topic in 2026, with applications that accelerate decarbonization and electrification, improve system efficiency, and support the energy transition.
