British Columbia — January 7, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Cameo Resources Inc. (CSE: MEO, FSE: Z88) has received the Technical Report on the Investigation of Gold Mineralized Zones Using Drone-Mounted Magnetic and Induced Polarization (IP) Dataset at the Katoro-Geita Gold Project, Sukumaland Goldfields, North Tanzania.
The report provides a detailed interpretation of magnetic and induced polarization surveys conducted on its wholly owned Katoro Gold Property, which spans 19.58 square kilometers in the Geita region of the Lake Victoria Goldfields of Tanzania.
The Technical Report highlights that integrated interpretation of geophysical results has identified five distinct mineralized zones within the project area. These zones are detected at varying depths, from a few meters below the surface to approximately 100 meters. The zones appear to extend beyond the project boundaries and surveyed blocks, indicating potential areas for gold mineralization.
These zones align with magnetic lineaments interpreted as faults and shear zones, with a dominant east-west trend mirroring the Tembo gold deposit of Buckreef Gold Mine. The mineralized zones are characterized by moderate to high chargeability values, up to 250 mV/V, and generally low-intermediate resistivity values, from approximately 10 Ωm to 700 Ωm. These zones are believed to be associated with disseminated sulphides and gold mineralization within Precambrian rocks and quartz veins found within shear zones.
High chargeability values in the prospective zones suggest potential areas that are likely to host sulphide-rich gold mineralization. Eighty drill holes have been proposed for drilling in the project area to explore potential mineralized zones.
Cameo Resources plans to proceed with phased drilling campaigns at its Katoro property to systematically evaluate drill targets generated from this geophysical exploration work. A 10-15 drill hole program is being designed to evaluate the first two of the five mineralized zones. The Company has solicited bids from drilling contractors in Tanzania and anticipates securing a contract shortly, with drilling expected to begin as early as February.
Brian Thurston, PGeo, stated that the Company’s goal of targeting mineralization and fast-tracking a drill campaign is nearing completion, with 80 priority drill targets generated in four months. He added that the team has delivered on the first ever drilling of the Katoro Property using modern science as a guide. The results from the Technical Report indicate the high prospectivity for gold mineralization to be discovered on the Katoro property, with similarities between the Katoro Property and the Tembo Gold Mine (~7km northeast) and the Buckreef Gold Mine (~15km northeast).
Brian Thurston, P.Geo., the Company’s technical advisor.
The Katoro Gold Property covers 19.58 square kilometers within the Sukumaland Greenstone Belt in the Lake Victoria Goldfield (LVGF). The LVGF holds multi-million-ounce gold deposits and has ongoing operations by gold companies. The concessions have been mined by artisanal miners and occur within a broader area that has seen exploration and mining activities by companies including TRX Gold Corporation (TSX:TRX), AngloGold Ashanti plc (NYSE:AU), and IAMGOLD Corporation (TSX:IMG).
Cameo Resources Inc. is a mineral exploration company focused on discovering and developing mineral deposits. Cameo’s Katoro property covers 19.58 Km2 within the Sukumaland greenstone belt within the Lake Victoria goldfield (LVGF). The concessions have not been explored by modern methods until now.
