Boralex (TSX:BLX) Appoints Philippe Bonin as CFO

MONTREAL, Quebec — February 27, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Boralex inc. (TSX: BLX) has announced the appointment of Philippe Bonin as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 16, 2026. Bonin will support the delivery of the 2030 Strategic Plan.

According to the company, Bonin’s appointment follows a rigorous selection process. Stéphane Milot, who has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer, will return to his role as Vice President, Investor Relations and Financial Planning & Analysis.

Boralex said that Milot and Bonin will work together to ensure a smooth transition and to continue advancing the Finance function, enabling the mobilization of the financial levers necessary to support the Company’s success.

Patrick Decostre, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boralex, stated that he is pleased to welcome Philippe Bonin as Boralex enters a new phase of expansion. He said Bonin brings extensive experience gained at major organizations across a variety of sectors—both capital-intensive and growth-driven—along with expertise that complements the executive team’s strengths. Decostre is confident that Bonin will bring renewed momentum to the company’s development and make a significant contribution as Boralex works toward its strategic objectives and delivers on its major initiatives.

Decostre also acknowledged the contribution and dedication of Stéphane Milot in assuming the interim role, adding that Milot has been a key player in the Company’s progress and in strengthening its culture of excellence and respect. Decostre added that Milot’s unifying leadership has been indispensable during this period of change.

Boralex describes Philippe Bonin as a seasoned financial executive with experience across regulated industries as well as the telecommunications, technology, media, and private equity sectors. The company notes that Bonin has led strategic capital allocation decisions, managed mergers and acquisitions, overseen project evaluations, and developed long-term financial planning initiatives.

Bonin stated that he is honored to be joining Boralex and contributing to its mission at such a pivotal moment in its growth. He added that he looks forward to working closely with the Finance team and with leaders across the Company to advance value-creating initiatives across all its markets.

Prior to joining Boralex, Bonin held senior leadership roles and worked with organizations including Cogeco, TC Transcontinental, La Caisse, Talent.com, and Ernst & Young. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds an MBA from McGill University.

As part of Bonin’s arrival, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) functions will be integrated into the Finance function as of March 2. Mihaela Stefanov, who has been leading CSR and ERM, will assume the role of Special Projects Lead in Asset Management, playing a direct role in optimizing asset performance and advancing high-impact initiatives for Boralex across North America.

Decostre extended his thanks to Mihaela Stefanov, who built the CSR and ERM function and helped position Boralex as industry leaders in corporate social responsibility. He said he is pleased that she will continue contributing to Boralex’s success.

Boralex has been providing renewable energy for over 35 years. The company states that it is a leader in the Canadian market and France’s largest independent producer of onshore wind power, with facilities in the United States and in the United Kingdom. Over the past five years, Boralex’s installed capacity has increased by more than 50%, reaching 3,783 MW as at December 31, 2025. Boralex is developing a portfolio of projects in development and construction of 8.2 GW in wind, solar and BESS projects.
