CALGARY, AB — January 7, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Big Rock Brewery Inc. (TSX: BR) has appointed Mr. Pat Carey to its Board of Directors, effective January 5, 2026, according to a company announcement. The move is intended to support the company’s strategy to expand its distribution and logistics business.
Mr. Carey is a Canadian business leader and previously served as President and CEO of Wallace & Carey, a major independent distribution and logistics company in Canada. He also co-founded Sitewise Solutions, a software platform that focuses on optimizing warehousing and logistics operations for emerging brands and growth-stage businesses, mainly in Western Canada.
With a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from Acadia University, Mr. Carey brings executive leadership and board experience to Big Rock.
The company also announced the resignation of Mr. Don Noone, VN Capitals Board representative, effective December 31, 2025.
Mr. James Vanesak, also from VN Capital, has been appointed to the Board. Mr. Vanesak is the sole Principal of VN Capital Management, LLC, a value-investing firm he co-founded in 2002. Previously, Mr. Vanasek was Chairman of the Board at Ceres Global Ag. Corp. Before VN Capital, he worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for three and a half years.
Mr. Vanasek is a member of the New York State Bar Association and holds a B.A. degree from Yale University, a J.D. degree from Columbia University Law School, and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia University Business School.
The Board expressed gratitude to Mr. Noone for his service and contributions during his tenure.
