Thunder Bay, Ontario — December 17, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Benton Resources Inc. has announced promising gold results from its drilling campaign at the South Pond Gold-Copper Deposit and the discovery of a new Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) system in the End Zone area.
The company (TSXV: BEX) reported results from South Pond include 2.02g/t Au over 17.13 meters, including 3.98g/t Au over 5.00 meters, and 9.12g/t Au over 1.00 meter in drill hole SP-25-54. Additional intercepts graded 1.10g/t Au over 23.00 meters, including 2.81g/t Au over 6.68 meters, and 7.54g/t Au over 1.00 meter in SP-25-55.
Benton also announced the discovery of a new VMS system in the End Zone, located north of the Great Burnt deposit. Drill hole EZ-25-01 intersected multiple sections of VMS-style mineralization, including 10.30 meters of stringer-style pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite from 100.30 to 110.60 meters, and 11.66 meters of stringer-style, semi-massive and local massive pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite from 137.40 to 149.06 meters. Drill hole EZ-25-02 also intersected zones indicative of a VMS-style system.
Drilling has been paused for the Christmas break and will resume in January. The company awaits final assay results from its ongoing drill campaign, designed to demonstrate continuity along the >2.7 km gold-copper horizon. Eight holes’ results are pending. Assays received to date confirm the strength and continuity of the mineralized system, especially in the southern 1.7 km portion. The system has only been tested to approximately 100 meters depth.
Base metal assay results are pending for holes SP-25-50 to SP-25-61, EZ-25-01 and EZ-25-02. Gold assay results for holes SP-25-56 to SP-25-61, EZ-25-01 and EZ-25-02 are also pending.
SGS laboratories are conducting metallurgical gold recovery tests on the South Pond gold system to determine if gold can be favorably liberated and recovered using standard acid leaching. Full results are expected shortly.
