TORONTO, ONTARIO — January 8, 2026 — Leads & Copy —
Amaroq Ltd. (AIM, TSX-V, NASDAQ Iceland: AMRQ, OTCQX: AMRQF) has announced year-end gold production from its Nalunaq gold mine totaled roughly 6.6koz1, exceeding the annual 6-7koz production range’s midpoint and pre-final refinery assessment.
Amaroq, an independent mine development corporation, focuses on unlocking Greenland’s mineral potential. The final Impact Benefit Agreement (IBA) was awarded for the Nalunaq gold mine.
Production guidance and budget for 2026 will be announced in late February 2026.
Eldur Olafsson, CEO of Amaroq, expressed satisfaction with the gold production exceeding the midpoint of the guidance range during the commissioning year for the Nalunaq mine in Southern Greenland. Olafsson noted the processing unit and mining operations have performed well since completing the Q4 2025 shutdown and restarting operations, aligning with Phase 1 expectations. The company aims to increase the recovery factor to approximately 90% upon Phase 2 completion in Q2 2026.
Olafsson also conveyed pride in receiving approval for the final impact benefit agreement for the Nalunaq mine, emphasizing its significance for both Amaroq and the development of a successful mining industry in Greenland. He thanked the team and subcontractors for their tireless work in construction and commissioning at Nalunaq.
Amaroq’s primary business goal involves identifying, acquiring, exploring, and developing gold and strategic metal assets in Greenland. The company’s main asset is the 100%-owned Nalunaq Gold Mine, which is currently in production and ramping up. It is supported by a growing pipeline of high-grade satellite gold targets throughout South and West Greenland.
Amaroq also acquired complete ownership of the Black Angel zinc-lead-silver project in West Greenland, which was historically one of Greenland’s highest-grade base metal operations. The company is conducting studies to assess the potential for future redevelopment as part of its emerging West Greenland Hub strategy.
In addition to gold and base metals, Amaroq manages a diverse portfolio of strategic metal licenses across South Greenland. This includes advanced exploration projects at Stendalen (copper-nickel sulphides) and within the Sava Belt, where the company is exploring for copper, nickel, rare earth elements, and other critical minerals.
Amaroq is incorporated under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario) and wholly owns Nalunaq A/S, incorporated under the Greenland Companies Act.
