March 2, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Ag Growth International Inc. (AGI) has appointed Steve Sommerfeld to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
To facilitate the appointment, Corrine Ricard resigned from the Board. AGI expressed gratitude to Ms. Ricard for her contributions and support during the restructuring process.
Mr. Sommerfeld, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA), brings over 25 years of financial and business experience in international organizations across various industries. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan.
Currently, Mr. Sommerfeld serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Tundra Oil & Gas Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Winnipeg-based James Richardson & Sons Limited. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of AGI for 23 years, until his departure in 2020.
AGI anticipates that Mr. Sommerfeld’s financial and accounting expertise, extensive knowledge of the agricultural industry, and prior experience as a senior officer with AGI will be invaluable as the company renews its focus on operational excellence and improving shareholder returns.
